The Dutch have made cheese since the ancient Bronze Age. Gouda is named after a town where farmers used to gather to weigh their giant yellow wheels. It is so good you can eat it on bread every single day for breakfast.

In France, they made a mistake with wine and it became fizzy. Now, we use it to celebrate everything! If it does not come from the Champagne region, it is just “sparkling wine.” The French are very strict about this.
